BISHOP OYEDEPO: WE TRIED TO SAFE YAR ADUA BUT FAMILY.......

The late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua may not have died had the family heeded the advice to evacuate him from Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja three weeks before he died.
National Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, one of the four pastors who visited the Villa to pray for Yar’Adua at the height of his sickness in 2010, disclosed this at the weekend.
The three other pastors were Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith World Outreach, aka Winners Chapel; Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Catholic Bishop of Abuja; and erstwhile Aso Rock  Chaplain, Prof. Yusuf Obaje. The pastors visited the seat of power for the prayer session after Yar’Adua was flown back from Saudi Arabia where he had been taken for treatment for an undisclosed illness.
The PFN National Secretary said he told the Yar’Adua family at the meeting that there was the need to take the president out of Aso Rock within three weeks to keep him alive.
According to him, however, they shunned the advice as they were afraid that President Goodluck Jonathan, then vice president, would take over (power) if they took him out of the Villa immediately.
“Of course, I was not obeyed and exactly three weeks after that visit, he died”, Kure, based in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, but spoke to Sunday Vanguard in Lagos, last week, said.
Narrating what transpired at the prayer session for Yar’Adua, which he claimed lasted about 10 minutes, “sharp and straight to the point”, the PFN leader said: “When we went in there, they pulled me aside and said the reason you are here sir, go beyond that, can God show mercy? Can God change these things? It’s like deep inside of them, they felt he (Yar’Adua) might not survive. And they had the right to ask God for mercy. That was why they called in the Muslims and the Christians”.
He continued: “So I knew my own mission but I sensed things do not happen like that and I told them what would make him escape death. I told them privately. That is, me and them, it had nothing to do with the four (he and the other pastors). My reason for being called was slightly different from the other three. I think Oyedepo was called because of the miracles (he was performing) in the Living Faith Church. We were called in because they believed we have access to God and that we could pray some effective prayers that would help the matter.
‘Not politically convenient’
“I told them the Lord said that within three weeks they should take him out of the Villa to somewhere he’d be without pressure. That was the time the polity was heating up. I told them to take him away from there (Aso Rock) because while  there within those three weeks, even if as much as one mosquito bite him, he would die. I told them I saw only three weeks. So if they had taken him out within those three weeks, maybe God would have shown mercy and given him some rest and added some time to his life.
“I don’t know how much, I’m not God. I’m just an oracle who spoke for that season. And the understanding I got later, I was told they couldn’t take him out because it was not politically convenient. They were afraid that Jonathan would take over if they took him out immediately. He kept him there to ensure that Jonathan did not take over even when it was to the detriment of his health. Maybe it was a tactical move; the wife had no say in the matter”.
Captivity
Exonerating the former president’s wife, Turai, from blame over the failure to move Yar’Adua from Aso Rock as advised, Kure said, “Nigerian politicians are very complicated and sophisticated people when they know their interests are at stake; they will use you to remain relevant. They will keep you there until they get what they want. I think she was also in captivity.
“Of course she would have wanted her husband to live; she would have wanted to remain the first lady naturally. Let’s not pretend about these things. Constitutionally it was not her call; it was the politicians’ call which was what the people in the National Assembly and Nigerians were making that, `let the constitution have its way’. It was a constitutional call, it was not her call

UNILAG STUDENT:KIDNAPPED AND RAPED BRUTALLY

Policemen attached to Adeniji Adele division have arrested a 22-year-old man who alleged kidnapped and raped a student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, for turning down his advances.

The suspect, Babajide Bashorun, was also alleged to have taken nude shots of his victim (names withheld) and pasted them on the internet with her real name, school, department and age.But the suspect claimed that the lady was his girlfriend. He admitted to have taken her nude pictures and gave them to his friends whose identities he gave as Aje Mayowa and Babajide Ademuyiwa, both final year students of  Architecture also of UNILAG.

The incident, as gathered, occurred two months ago at 1, Ajose Street,  Enu-Owa area of Lagos Island.  But the female undergraduate was silent over the matter until her relations abroad who stumbled on the nude pictures on the internet contacted her mother in Nigeria, last week.

How it started

Narrating how the incident occurred, the female undergraduate said: “Babajide  came to our house to treat our dog. In the process, he requested  for my phone number and I reluctantly gave him. He started calling me and told me he would like to go out with me.

“But I told him I already had a boyfriend whom I loved. Yet, he kept calling me, saying he was not interested in just going out with me but wanted to  marry  me. Aside that, he kept monitoring my movements and at a point, I deleted his contact on my phone.

“I was returning home for a weekend in April , a car stopped by my side at Idumota bus-stop. Jide was sitting beside a driver who was unknown to me.

“On sighting him, I walked past. But the next thing he did was to hold me by the hand, dragged me into the car and drove to his house.

“When he got home, he started beating me and tore my clothes, asking what  I wanted that he could not give me. He instructed me to unlock my phone and when he discovered that I used my boyfriend’s name as password, he resumed the beating.

“At a point, he gave me his phone to speak with some of his friends who told me I was in for trouble, for turning down a member of their unnamed cult, threatening that they would kill me for treating him shabbily.

“Thereafter, he raped me and when he was done, his friend took his turn despite my plea. When he saw I was bleeding, he stopped and started begging me. At that point, he brought out  his phone and started taking my nude pictures.  I made attempt to cover my face but he hit me on the head with a bottle and continued taking the shots.

How I escaped

“I begged him to allow me call my mother to give him some money for my release but he refused. I also appealed to him to delete my pictures when he started begging me.

“I stayed in that room all night till the next day when he went out to get me some drugs. Immediately he stepped out, I tried the door and discovered it was  not locked from outside. I quickly changed into one of my dirty clothes in my bag and escaped.

“But I could not tell anyone at home. When my elder brother asked what the problem was on seeing the blood stained clothes, I told him I was involved in  an accident and when my mother insisted on knowing what the problem was, I told her I fought with a course mate. She insisted on going to school with me on seeing the magnitude of the injury but I prevented her.

“Barely had I settled down than Babjide called, threatening to kill me if I disclosed what happened to anyone. As if that was not enough, his friends also called and threatened me as well.”

She is my girlfriend — Suspect

However, on his part, Babjide claimed that the undergraduate was his girlfriend, adding that they only had a fight on that fateful day.

Expressing shock over his arrest, he said: “She is my girlfriend. We only fought in April and have resolved the matter.

“What led to the fight was her request for money to buy an IPad which cost over N100,000. Because of my love for her, I managed to raise N70,000. She visited me on that day and I advised her to change her way of living which included going  to club .

I also accused her of flirting with other men. Along the line, we started fighting and I used a mop stick to hit her and in the process , took shots of her and sent the pictures to my friends. But I did not tell them to paste the pictures on the internet.”

Police sources hinted that efforts were on to arrest Mayowa and Ademuyiwa alleged to have pasted the victim’s  nude pictures on the internet, while  Babajide had been charged to court  for kidnapping, rape, conspiracy, attempt to commit murder, indecent assault, and assault occasioning harm.

UNILAG GIRLS: WE WONT GIVE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE FOR MARKS AGAIN

There was pandemonium on Tuesday morning at the prestigious University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, Lagos following the protest of some Creative Arts students of the institution against sexual harassment and other allegations of misconduct by the university lecturers and otherofficials.
DailyPost gathered from a reliable source that the students in their hundreds stormed the Arts block with placards to register their grievances and later moved their protest to the Social Science Department.
It was gathered that lecturers in the Departmenthave made life miserable for female students bymaking sex one of the major criteria for passing their examination.
However, male students who obviously cannot offer sexual favours to their lecturers are made to part with exorbitant sums of money in place of sex.
Management of UNILAG is yet to respond to the allegations as at the time of filing this report.

DECLARED WANTED:YOBO, OSAZE AND TAIWO (PROBABLY)

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has opened the national team door to striker Osaze Odemwingie and skipper Joseph Yobo, but Taye Taiwo may not find a way back in.
All three players, along with a few other established internationals, have been on the outside looking in under the former national captain. Yobo since the African Nations Cup, and Odemwingie just before.
Both players reacted with very public disaffection to their exclusion.
But shortly after the Super Eagles' Fifa Confederations Cup campaign came to a grinding halt against Spain, Keshi told KickOffNigeria.com exclusively how the players can get back in.
"They should just be themselves, play their game," Keshi said. "Yobo is still my captain. It's unfortunate that he's not here, but he's still the captain of the team.
"Taiwo is still playing but I have younger players that are playing well. I have Juwon, who is not here. I have Benjamin Francis, and I have Echiejile whose performance has improved greatly. So it will be a difficult thing for Taiwo to get back in.
"For Osaze, he still has a place in the team.
"I'm not looking for an apology from him. Osaze is somebody that I like very well and he knows that. The thing is, it's about the team that I'm worried about.
"I don't want to have a player that will come in and divide the team, or want to come and do something to destabilize the team, because when the team is not together, it becomes very difficult to win.
"I'm not saying he is going to come in and do that, but a little bit of what he has shown has told me that this is possible.
"I really want to have him in the team, and I would like to give him another opportunity."
One player that Keshi says he really wants to see back in the national team is Obinna Nsofor, along with Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi Martins.
"The person I am really keen to have is Obinna Nsofor.
"Unfortunately, each time I call him, he's always injured. Hopefully next time he will be fit.
"Martins is coming back gradually. The last two call-ups he wasn't in good shape but I needed to play him," he told KickOffNigeria.com.

BETRAYALl:HOUSE GIRL ROBBED MASTER OF $100,000

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have arrested a female house help who allegedly connived with her boyfriend and two fake soldiers to rob her master of over 100,000 Dollars. The 23 year-old house help, Adaeze Ijeoma, allegedly sneaked into her master’s bedroom located in Maryland, Lagos, last month, after he traveled out of the country. Unsure of where to keep the foreign currency, she reportedly took it to her boyfriend, one Onyebuchi Uche, only for him to flee with the money, leaving Adaeze in doubt. On his part, Onyebuchi , who has been jobless for years, rushed to Alade market, Ikeja where he changed some of the dollars to naira and thereafter, deposited the sum of N8 million in two banks. He thereafter, told operatives at SARS that he also bought a car; ‘End of Discussion’ and a plot of land in an undisclosed area where he had started molding blocks for building. Determined to get her own share of the loot from him, betrayed Adaeze was said to have confided with one of her relatives identified simply as Nnamdi to help retrieve the money from her estranged lover. Nnamdi and two other persons clad in Military camouflage reportedly stormed Maryland last week where on spotting Onyebuchi, bundled him inside his new vehicle and took him to a hotel in Mende area of Lagos, where they reportedly tortured him and forced him to disclose where he kept the money. They reportedly managed to get the sum of N6.5 million from two separate banks where Onyebuchi kept the money, including the new car he bought. However, just when Adaeze was contemplating on what to do with her own share of the recovered loot, an eight man robbery gang reportedly stormed her master’s home, where an unspecified amount including his phones and other valuables were carted away. The robbery case was reported at SARS after which Adaeze and two other persons were arrested. Although she denied having a hand in the recent robbery, she however, disclosed her role in the theft of 100,000 Dollars. In this interview with Crime Guard, she said: “ I am from Akri village in Ogbaru Local Government area of Anambra State. I left the village in 2010, after my secondary school education in search of greener pastures in Lagos, where I started working as a house-help for Chief Uche and was paid the sum of N10,000 monthly. I lived in the same apartment with chief and to be honest to him, he has treated me as a member of the family. “I met my boyfriend Onyebuchi after being lonely for a while in 2011. I was tempted to steal my boss’s money and gave it to my boyfriend to keep so that we can start our own life. I gave him because he promised he would marry me. I stole the money so that we can, at least, get a lease of life when married. I believed he would use it wisely because he has always had plans for the future. “But I began suspecting foul play after he stopped picking my calls . When I went to where he lives in Mende, I was told he usually came home late. Later, those who know us told me he started driving a car. That was when I contacted my uncle, Nnamdi to help retrieve the money from him. On the day, he was to go with his two soldier friends, I waited at Mende for Onyebuchi and when I sighted him, I pointed him to them and left for home immediately. After he was tortured, he called me on the phone that he was sick and when I went to see him, he said some robbers stole the money from him and even battered him to stupor. “I swear, I do not know anything about the other robbery operation in the house. The robbers came armed and forced me to take them round the house. They only got some money in the guest room and took my master’s Black berry phone, his gold wrist watch and other things. They also took my phone but left it at the backyard. I did what I did out of love for my boyfriend, not knowing he would betray me. Now he has fled, leaving me to bear the consequences alone, without having a taste of the money, “ she stated in tears. On his part, Nnamdi claimed he was once a military personnel but resigned on his return from a foreign mission where he got the sum of N2 million. Surprisingly, Nnamdi was discovered to be an in-law to Chief Uche. “I am from Akaokwa village, in Ideato North Local Government area, Imo State and the complainant is married to my father’s sister. I used to sleep in their house any time I came to Lagos to sell palm oil and at times, I spent one month. “When Adaeze told me about the money, I threatened I was going to tell her boss. But on second thought, I thought if I got the money, I could use it to enrich myself. I then contacted Chima, my friend who is now at large. It was Chima who contacted a soldier who initially gave his name as Corporal Humphrey. It was later we discovered he was a dismissed soldier. We lodged at Tropicana Hotel in Mende Maryland ,where we took Onyebuchi to. I was in full Army uniform while Ajaghe my other friend, was wearing a camouflage cap, pretending to be soldiers. “We tied him to a ceiling fan and beat him in order to force him to tell us where he kept the money. We seized his car. And ordered him to transfer the N2.4 million he said was in First Bank and N5.5 million in Fidelity bank to my account for easy withdrawal. We used ATM card to withdraw the money for one week from one of the banks while we withdrew the rest from separate branches of the other bank. At the end, I gave Onyebuchi’s car to Chima to keep and N500,000 to Ajaghe , while I kept the rest, with the hope of giving some to Adaeze and keeping the rest”, he said, adding that he knew nothing about the robbery operation at Chief Uche’s apartment. The Commander, SARS, Mr Abba Kyari, said the suspects would be charged to court while efforts were still on to arrested other fleeing members of the gang.

WOMEN AND GIRLS RESCUED FROM BABY FACTORY

THE Abia State Command of Directorate of State Service, DSS, has rescued 16 pregnant girls from a ‘baby factory’ in Aba. Parading the young girls, yesterday, in his Umuahia office, the state Director of DSS, Mr. Matthew Obodoechi, said the girls and women whose ages range between 17 and 37 were rescued on June 17, 2013.Obodoechi gave the name of the home as Cross Foundation International, located along Anyamele Street in Umungasi area of Aba. According to Obodoechi, proprietor of the home, Dr. Hyginus Ndudim Orikara, has been arrested. He vowed that the medical practitioner would be prosecuted. Ironically, the medical doctor is said to be in the employ of Abia State Government, which has been actively involved in the fight against the “baby factory” menace in the state. The DSS director expressed worry that menace of baby factory was fast becoming a new crime trend in some South-East states. He said: “It is another kind of kidnapping where babies are snatched at point of birth and sold. It is a big shame, a big problem and it all boils down to the kind of values we have in the society today. Life is not valued.” Dr Orikara, however, denied running a baby factory, saying, his Cross Foundation was legitimately registered as a charity home. He said babies were not sold after delivery but released to go and nurse them, explaining that the charity home witnessed large number of girls because “we are running operation nurse your own baby.” According to him, girls with unwanted pregnancy are brought to the home for them to be encouraged and assisted to carry their pregnancies to full term, deliver and nurse the babies. But Obodoechi dismissed Orikara’s claim, insisting that confessional statement by the pregnant ladies showed that the doctor was indeed engaged in the baby factory business. According to him, “the ladies upon delivery are given a paltry sum of N50,000 and sent away while their babies are sold to people from different parts of the country.” He noted with regret that some persons had chosen to hide under the cover of non-governmental organisations, NGOs, to perpetrate various forms of illegal activities, including baby factories. He said: “Those hiding under the cover of NGOs to perpetrate modern form of slave trade are warned to abstain from such illegalities as security agencies will stop at nothing to ensure that they are apprehended and made to face the law.”

WICKED. 82-YEAR- OLD MAN BURIED ALIVE

source: VANGUARD. THE remains of an 82-year-old retired Inspector of Police, Elder Samuel Ekhoruyimen, who was allegedly abducted by some youths of Ewudu village in Ovia North- East Local Government Area of Edo State have been discovered in an ‘eveil forest’ near the village. However, his remains suggest that he was buried alive in a grave dug before his abduction. Pa Ekhoruyimwen who was the village head (Odionwere) of Oghobaghase near Ewudu community was said to have been invited to preside over the settlement of a dispute in his domain when he was allegedly waylaid and abducted by some youths of Ewudu village. Vanguard gathered that following the octogenarian’s sudden disappearance on May 10, 2013, his children living in Benin informed the Police who declared him missing after 24 hours of futile efforts by the family to ascertain his whereabouts. Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Zone 5, Alhaji Hashimu Argungun, while speaking on the issue, disclosed that following intelligence reports, undercover agents led by one Sergeant Isaiah Osivwemu arrested one Osamudiamwen Uwaila of Ewudu community. The AIG who spoke through the Deputy Police Commissioner in charge of Administration, Mr. Dave Akinremi, revealed that the confessional statement of the prime suspect led to the arrest of seven others, including the Chief Priest of the Ovia deity in Ewudu community, Pa Stephen Oviawe, 78. He added that two village heads and two youths were also arrested in connection with the gruesome murder. Efforts to recover the corpse Meanwhile, the police boss said efforts to recover the corpse of the former Police Inspector have been intensified, saying other suspects now at large went to remove the remains from the grave before policemen were led there by one of the suspects. The prime suspect, Osamudiamwen Uwaila, speaking with newsmen at the Adesuwa Police Station, yesterday, disclosed that he connived with others now at large, captured the victim on the way to his village and took him to an already dug grave in the evil forest of Ewudu community. He added that they plotted to kill the victim because of his alleged role in a land dispute between Ewudu an d Orogun communities some years ago. Vanguard learnt that after the arrest of some of the suspects who took the police to where the retired police officer was buried, it was discovered that the body had been exhumed and reburied in a yet to be identified grave in the Ovia forest. It was learnt that the deceased may have been killed for ritual purpose. However, one of the suspects (name withheld) while confessing to the crime to the police, disclosed that they decided to re-bury the victim’s corpse because they found out that the body was buried close to the road, therefore they had to exhume to rebury so as to ensure that the body was not found by the police.

BOKO HARAM AT IT AGAIN:5 NECO STUDENTS KILLED

Barely 24 hours after gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members, Sunday night, killed seven students and two teachers of Government Secondary School, Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, five students and 13 civilians were, Monday, killed in separate attacks by suspected Boko Haram sect in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. Our correspondent gathered that five of the students killed were writing the ongoing National Examination Council, NECO, examinations when the gunmen stormed Ansarudin, a private primary/secondary school in Jajeri ward of the metropolis and opened fire in the hall, few minutes after the examination started. An eye witness who pleaded anonymity for security reasons told Vanguard that one of the victims was impersonating a candidate as he was writing the exams for somebody else, before he met his untimely death at about 3pm when the gunmen struck. In a related development, about 13 people, including fishermen and tea vendors, were killed around the Alau Dam situated on the outskirts of Maiduguri by suspected sect members. Vanguard reliably gathered that the gunmen ambushed the people around the dam and before opening fire, they told their victims: “You are those exposing our activities to security agencies. Today your days are over, as we will kill all of you.” It would be recalled that a week ago, some youths on a volunteer mission arrested several members of the sect in Hausari, Gwange, among other areas of Maiduguri and handed them over to the JTF before they were killed. Alau Dam is one of the biggest dams and a treatment plant that supplies water to people of Maiduguri and its environs. It also supplies vast agricultural land for irrigation for farming around the riverine areas. Those killed included some youths of Gwange ward of the metropolis who went to Alau Dam to buy fish for their domestic consumption. A resident of Gwange and a nieghbour to one of the victims, Mallam Mohammed Musa, said: “Yes, one of my neighbours was among the 13 people killed by suspected Boko Haram in Alau Dam on Monday. It was yesterday after Magrip prayers that the news of the killings filtered into the community. I just came to report in the office before going back home to attend the burial.”

A statement by the Chairman, Osun PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, on Tuesday, said it was wrong toname the airport after Abiola because the airport had not been completed. Olaoluwa added that it was wrong of the state government to name a Federal Government project after Abiola. “No state government can name any edifice or project belonging to the Federal Government. When President Goodluck Jonathan named University of Lagos after MKO it was the Action Congress of Nigeria that were criticising the action or have they forgotten so soon?” he said. Describing MKO Abiola as a symbol of democracy, Olaoluwa said the naming of the airport after the late business mogul was political. Osun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Sunday Akere, however dismissed the claims by the opposition party, describing the claims as “false and infantile.” “The MKO Abiola Airport is solely financed by Osun State government. The Osun PDP is an unfocused and rudderless party without compunction and integrity. The PDP is intimidated by the enormity of projects being executed by the Rauf Aregbesola administration,” Akere said. State Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integration, Mr. Basiru Ajibola, said, “The claim is the height of hallucination. “Let the PDP show Federal Government’s letter of award for the contract. Aeronautic Engineering and Technical Service, which is an arm of the Nigerian Air Force, is involved in the project being handled solely by Osun State.” “Governance is not about jesting, selfishness and corruption. The PDP is a party of jesters. These are people who sleep and wake up every day from the wrong side of the bed. Otherwise, how can the party wake up and lay claim to a project being financed 100 per cent by the stategovernment?”

But he killed them initially......Babangida at it again

Twenty years after the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential elections presumably won by late business tycoon, Chief M.K.O Abiola, the Head of Abiola family, Mubashiru, yesterday, exonerated former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida from the complicity that led to the death of Abiola in government’s custody. Rather, he said that Babangida, who annulled the election, had been a pillar of support to the Abiola family since the business mogul died in detention on July 7, 1998. Mubashiru, M.K.O Abiola’s younger brother spoke at Abiola’s Oja-Agbo family house in Abeokuta during the 2013 June12 democracy walk organized by the Ogun State Government. The disclosure came on a day that President Goodluck Jonathan said that ‘June 12’ had changed the history of the country for good as leading politicians, activists and groups at different events to commemorate the 20th anniversary of June 12 lamented that little or no improvement in the welfare of Nigerians had been achieved since 1993, adding that poverty among the citizenry had worsened. Meantime, the Federal Government said, yesterday, that it was ready to immortalize Abiola and urged Nigerians to come up with suggestions on how best to honor the late politician. The government’s effort to name the University of Lagos after Abiola last year hit a brick wall with opposition from stakeholders and students of the institution where were those declaring public Holidays in their respective states, when Babangida was taking care of the family... Infact some of the Governor are not celebrating MKO instead they use that medium to campaign for their political aspirations. Sincerely they are only maximizing the face/name of reputable personalities to promote there political relevancy and interest, without honoring their Families or represeningt what they stood for.

A combined team of State Security Service (SSS) and military police personnel last night raided the Asokoro, Abuja residence of Late Hassan Agwai Mohammed (Ciroman Keffi), claiming to be searching for illegal Chadian immigrants.
The security personnel who arrived the residence at about 9 p.m. in four trucks belonging to the Directorate of State Security (DSS), one military truck and a bus, ordered the arrest of all the occupants of the duplex, three bungalows and an adjourning mosque in the residence.
One of the sons of the late Ciroman Keffi, Hussein, who confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP WEEKEND, said that the security personnel, ‘‘forced all of us out of the house andordered us to lay face down. This did not include the females. They searched the whole buildings which lasted for about forty-five minutes’’.
Continuing, Hussein said that all the males, including those who were in the adjourning mosque numbering 15, were ordered into the bus and were taken to the DSS headquarters in Asokoro.
‘‘At the office, we were asked to tell them the persons who reside in the houses within the premises. They separated us from those who stay in the mosque. After questioning, only seven of us were released. As I am talking to you now, the others are yet to be released,’’ Hussein said.
Attempts to reach the spokesperson of the DSS, Ms. Marilyn Ogar, a Deputy Director, last night was not successful as she neither picked her calls nor responded to the text message sent to her mobile phone.
Before his death, the Late Ciroman Keffi served the country in various capacities; as a minister of the federal republic, ambassador and chairman, Petroleum Products Marketing Commission (PPMC).

Another twist in the Nigerian Governors Forum

Loyalists of President Goodluck Jonathan are boycotting today’s meeting of the Northern States Governors Forum, NSGF, as payback for the alleged betrayal of the governors’ collective decision to support Governor Jonah Jang for the chairmanship of the Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF.
While some of the governors are boycotting the meeti...ng holding in Kaduna, a number of them are also mussing the fact that the developments from theNGF are masking collective issues that bother on the interest of the northern states.
One of such issues is the consideration of a report of acommittee constituted by the NSGF on the state of insecurity in the North.
Among the governors boycotting today’s meeting areGovernor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State and Gabriel Suswam of Benue State, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State, three of the leading canvassers for the enthronement of Jang for the NGF chairmanship.

i never kissed a man in my life

.........where some dey drink a cup full of man saliva everyday all in the name of kissing.....
On how she handled pressure from male students and lecturers, Oduyoye, who had herprimary and secondary school education at Babcock Primary School and Babcock University High School, stated that though she had so many male friends, she avoided getting intimate with them.
“I have a number of friends – including male students but I always draw a line between friendship for academic advancement and immoral relationship. I’m not abusive; neither am I a snub. But I don’t encourage any relationship that will distract me from mystudies. I don’t encourage any action that cansuggest to you that I’m a cheap commodity. I also ensure that I don’t go alone anywhere orfollow anybody to dark corners even if she is a girl like me.
“It may sound funny to you, I have never kissed anyone in my life and I have not been kissed by anybody. I thank God for the grace He gives me to achieve this because I know that some people will say it is not easy but with God all things are possible,” the 20-year-old fresh graduate added .
Oduyoye advised young girls to abstain from sex, face their studies and respect people and honour God. But the lady, whose father is a lecturer in the Business Administration Department at Babcock, has a word for the management of the institution.
She stated, “They should relax the rules. Specifically, I don’t see any reason why a femalestudent should not keep long hairs. Do you know it is so bad that security men on campus can stop a student and cut off her hair? This is not good. After all, undergraduates are no longer in the secondary school.”
Oduyoye however urged the university to sustain its dress code, though she wants students to be forced into engaging in physical activities. This, she said, is based on the result ofa research she did in her final year.
